Macao has issued stamps on 10th July 2015 to celebrates 10th anniversary of Historic Centre of Macao as World Heritage. The heritage sites featured on the 10th anniversary stamps are Senado Square, Sam Kai Vui Kun (Kuan Tai Temple), the Cathedral, Holy House of Mercy and Lou Kau Mansion. The stamps shows vivid and energetic Chinese and Portuguese figures representing the various folks and festive elements.
Historic Centre of Macao are living testimony to the integration and co-existence of eastern and western cultures over a unique chapter in history. It represents the architectural legacies of the city’s cultural heritage, including monuments such as urban squares, streetscapes, churches and temples.The Historic Centre of Macao was inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List on 15 July 2005, making it the 31st designated World Heritage site in China.
