India Post, Mumbai paid tribute to the migrant workers by releasing a special cover which is an ode to their immense contribution towards the making of Mumbai. The same was released in the Mumbai GPO premises today by Chief postmaster general of Maharashtra and Goa, Sri Harish Chandra Agrawal and Postmaster General of Mumbai Region Smt Swati Pandey. The cover is dedicated to The unsung Corona Warriors. A migrant taxi driver, a Jeweler craftsman from Zaveri Bazaar, an out of work tailor who now stitches masks for postal employees, and a and a construction labourer who came to the post office to send money to his family are invited for release of the Special cover. The cover acknowledges the contribution of natives of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and West Bengal in building this city, and their helplessness during the ongoing corona lockdown.
