A Famous Gazal of Nasir Kazmi

Dil Mein Ek Lehar Si Uthi Hai Abhi

Dil mein ek lehar si uthi hai abhi

Koi taaza hava chali hai abhi

Shor barpa hai khana-e-dil mein

Koi deewar si giri hai abhi

Kuchh to naazuk mizaaj hain ham bhi

Aur ye chot bhi nayi hai abhi

Bhari duniya mein ji nahin lagta

Jaane kis chiz ki kami hai abhi

Tuu sharik-e-sukhan nahin hai to kya

Hum-sukhan teri khaamoshi hai abhi

Yaad ke be-nishaan jazeeron se

Teri aavaaz aa rahi hai abhi

Shahr ke be-chiragh galiyon mein

Zindagi tujh ko dhoondhti hai abhi

So gaye log us haveli ke

Ek khidki magar khuli hai abhi

Tum to yaaro abhi se uth baithe

Shahr mein raat jaagti hai abhi

Vaqt achchha bhi aayega ‘Nasir’

Gham na kar zindagi padi hai abhi
