The stamps depicts wooden duck and the Dúa cars. The initial production of Dúa cars started in 1985 when several pioneers in the Westfjords founded a toy workshop called Aldan. Their goal was to produce wooden toys. The workshop produced all kinds of sought-after toys, including the Dúa cars which became very popular. The Red Cross was for many years one of the workshop’s agents, with sales proceeds going to the Red Cross house in Reykjavik which served as a relief center for children and youth. Dúa cars can be seen among other places at the local museum of Hafnarfjörður.
