Belarus:Stamps on Medal Winners
Belarus issued 3 stamps and a souvenir sheet from the series “Medal winners of the XXII Olympic Winter Games in Sochi”.The XXII Olympic Winter Games were held in Sochi (Russian Federation) from 7 to 23 February 2014.2800 athletes from 88 countries attended the event. Belarus was represented by 26 athletes (15 men and 11 women) in 5 sports disciplines. The stamps depict Nadezhda Skardino, Alla Tsuper, Anton Kushnir, the souvenir sheet features Darya Domracheva.

Russian post issued a stamp block to celebrate the closing ceremony of the XXII Olympic Winter Games in Sochi held on February 23, 2014.According to the results of games in Sochi Russian national team took 1st place in the team event. In order to promote the great and brilliant victories of Russian athletes, and given the importance of the event, on the sidelines of the block dedicated to the Olympic Games, an overprint is made: “At the XXII Olympic Winter Games 2014 in Sochi, Russia took first place in the team event, winning 13 gold, 11 silver and 9 bronze medals.”Another post block “Paralympic Winter Games 2014 in Sochi” is overprinted with text in the margin: “Russia set an absolute record in the team event at the Paralympic Winter Games in Sochi in 2014. It has won 30 gold, 28 silver and 22 bronze medals.”
