Lithuanian issued two stamps on 26th mAY 2012under The World Heritage Objects series The stamps feature the Curonian Spit.One of the new stamps depicts the dunes of the Curonian Spit, and the second one features an ethnographic fisherman’s homestead in Kopgalys. Each stamp will be issued in the edition of 100 000 copies with the nominal value of LTL 3 (EUR 0.87). The author of the both stamps is Valdone Bruciene.The Curonian Spit, a combined work of nature and man and located in the territory of two countries, the Republic of Lithuania and the Russian Federation, was inscribed into the UNESCO World Heritage List in December 2000.
