Leon : Spanish Capital of Gastronomy

After Logroño, Burgos, Vitoria, Cáceres, Toledo and Huelva, it is the turn of Leon to carry throughout 2018 the title of Spanish Capital of Gastronomy. The jury, composed of professionals from tourism, hospitality and communication and representatives of the Ministry of Agriculture and Turespaña, has opted for the city of León, whose candidacy is supported by the motto Manjar de Reyes. The stamp that is issued, presents an illustration of the famous rosette on the western facade of the Cathedral of Leon, and some of the most significant products of the cuisine of Leon, form a mosaic of colors and flavors as a stained glass.

National Intelligence Center

This stamp collects an aerial view of the main building of the complex that houses the C.N.I. in Madrid, known as “La Estrella” and that has the shape of “Y”. The image is accompanied by the symbol of this institution that includes the shield of Spain, and a logo composed of its acronyms forming a blue stroke topped with the colors of the Spanish flag. This stamp issued with tariff C, is carried out by a fundamental institution for the State, created in 2002 as a successor of the former Higher Information Center of Defense, CESID. The agents of the National Intelligence Center are popularly known as “spies”. Intelligence services around the world have always been surrounded by a halo of mystery.

50th Anniversary S.M. King Philip VI

On January 30, 1968, the King of Spain, Felipe VI, was born at the Nuestra Señora de Loreto clinic in Madrid. At that time, his father, King Juan Carlos I, was the heir to the throne of Spain. And his birth was quite an event, because although it was the third son of the then princes Juan Carlos And Sofia, was the first male child. Don Felipe was always aware of the importance of his role in our country. He received a thorough academic, language and international relations training. When he was still a child, he delivered his first speech at the Prince of Asturias awards ceremony in 1981 and he already showed that he was perfect for the job. The stamp that is issued shows the official portrait of the king on a silver foil background.
