Jersey Issued Stamps on Winter  Seasons

jersey-seasons-stampsOften associated with beach holidays, Jersey’s great outdoors continues to be enjoyed by islanders and visitors during the winter months, which are the mildest in the British Isles. Snow settles on the Island only occasionally and the beautiful countryside, coastal paths and villages are transformed into a winter wonderland.Being an island with a varied coastline of cliffs, rocky bays and long sandy beaches, high winds and high tides, Jersey produces dramatic scenes that are observed and photographed as much in winter as they are on a tranquil summer’s day.

Eight stamps form the third instalment in the series portraying the island of Jersey throughout the seasons, and feature scenes captured during the winter months.
