Jersey Issued Stamps on Flowers

jersey flowers stampsDrawn by stamp artist Martin Mörck and painted by Wang Huming in Beijing, China, six stamps feature flowers enjoyed in the gardens of both Jersey and China, namely the magnolia, camellia, azalea, hydrangea, chrysanthemum and peony.

Two of the stamps, the chrysanthemum and the peony, have also been presented in a Souvenir Miniature Sheet alongside a poem in Chinese. The poem was written by Li Bai, one of the greatest poets in Chinese literary history.
