India Post Issued Stamp on 10th World Hindi Conference

hindi day stampIndia Post today released a commemorative postage stamp on 10th World Hindi Convention .The Prime Minister Narendra Modi released this postage stamp at Bhopal.The 10th World Hindi Conference (WHC) is being organized from 10-12 September 2015 in the city of Bhopal by the Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India in partnership with the Government of Madhya Pradesh. The decision to organize the 10th edition of the Conference in India was taken at the 9th World Hindi Conference held in Johannesburg, South Africa in September 2012.

world hindi conference fdcThe first World Hindi Conference was held in 1975 in Nagpur, India. Since then, nine such Conferences have been held all over the globe. Details of the previous nine Conferences held so far are as follows:

1. First World Hindi Conference Nagpur, India 10-12 January, 1975
2. Second World Hindi Conference Port Louis, Mauritius 28-30 August, 1976
3. Third World Hindi Conference New Delhi, India 28-30 October, 1983
4. Fourth World Hindi Conference Port Louis, Mauritius 02-04 December, 1993
5. Fifth World Hindi Conference Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago 04-08 April, 1996
6. Sixth World Hindi Conference London, U.K. 14-18 September,1999
7. Seventh World Hindi Conference Paramaribo, Suriname 06-09 June, 2003
8. Eighth World Hindi Conference New York, America 13-15 July, 2007
9. Ninth World Hindi Conference Johannesburg, South Africa 22-24 September, 2012

The main theme of the Conference is “Hindi Jagat: Vistar avm sambhavnai”. The venue of the Conference is “Lal Parade Ground”, Bhopal.
