Philippines : Stamps on 75 Year’s of Ateneo de Naga’s University

philippines naga university stampsPhilippines is going to issue stamps on 5 June 2015 to  mark the 75th Anniversary of Ateneo De Naga University.Both the stamps carry the slogan “Ateneo De Naga University 75 years of Magis. Living the Spirit. Forging new frontiers.”PHLPost printed 104,000 copies of the blue-colored stamps measuring 30 mm by 40 mm. Each stamp will be sold at P10.In the first design, the Golden Knight symbol is featured, a reference to St. Ignatius of Loyola, founding father of the Society of Jesus.St. Ignatius was a soldier before he was converted.The second design features the iconic four pillars of the University. Ateneo de Naga was founded May 2, 1940, with Francis Burns as its rector.
