Lithuania Issued Stamp on The Anniversary of Restoration of  Independence

lithuania independence stampLithuania has issued a stamp on 7th March 2015 on the occasion of  25th anniversary of independence. The postage stamp designed by the artist Domantas Vildžiūnas features an Act on the Restoration of an Independent State of Lithuania. The postage stamp has a nominal value of EUR 0.84. Edition – 200 thousand copies.

On March 11, 1990, the Supreme Council of the Republic of Lithuania signed the Act on the Restoration of an Independent State of Lithuania saying that the execution of the sovereign powers of the State of Lithuania abolished by foreign forces in 1940 is re-established, and henceforth Lithuania is again an independent state.
