Monaco –Morocco Joint stamp issue will be released on 7th November 2014. The year 2014 highlighted the long-standing ties between the Principality of Monaco and the Kingdom of Morocco. In March, Prince Albert II inaugurated in Rabat the exhibition entitled “Prince Albert I’s exploration of Morocco at the end of the 19th century”. This event has been chosen to illustrate the philatelic joint issue which will be launched on 7th November during the Salon Philatélique d’Automne (Autumn Stamp Exhibition) in Paris.
The pair of stamps depicts a photo of the Oceanographic Museum of Monaco, founded by Prince Albert I, and a picture of Hassan Tower taken by Prince Albert I who brought back, from his various travels to Morocco, photos, movies and texts which are today precious historical and ethnographic testimonies.
