\"danishDenmark released a stamp celebrating the 400th anniversary of the Guard Hussar Regiment. The stamp motif shows a mounted Guard Hussar. In Actis Esto Volucris – Be Swift in Action – is the motto of the Guard Hussar Regiment in Slagelse, which this year is celebrating its 400th anniversary. The original Guard Hussar Regiment was founded in 1762, but in 2001 it was merged with the Danish Life Regiment and the Zealand Life Regiment. The Zealand Life Regiment can trace its history as far back as 1614 when Christian IV established a national militia, and the regiment can therefore celebrate its 400th anniversary in 2014.
