Myanmar :New  stamps to Mark 60-Year-Old Peace Principles

\"myanmarMyanmar Posts and Telecommunication issued two new commemorative post stamps to mark the 60th anniversary of the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence formulated by Myanmar, China and India. Two new post stamps, priced 100 Kyats and 500 Kyats respectively, will be available in Nay Pyi Taw, Yangon and Mandalay starting from Saturday.

In 1954, leaders of China, India and Myanmar initiated the Five Principles of Peaceful Coexistence, which stand for mutual respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity, mutual non-aggression, non-interference in each other\’s internal affairs, equality and mutual benefit, and peaceful coexistence.

In 1955 the principals were accepted at Bandung Conference and remain alive today.
