Special Cover Released at Bhagalpur

Bhagalpur Postal Division of Bihar Postal Circle has issued a special cover on 01.03.2014 on the occasion of Angapex 2014. ‘The Tilha Kothi ’,now known as the Rabindra Bhawan, features on the cover illustration. The Tilha Kothi was built by Augustus Cliveland, the first Commissioner of Bhagalpur. Rabindra Nath Tagore had composed a fewlines of the famous ‘Geetanjali’ here. These days the Tilha Kothi has become the centre for study of history,culture,archaeology and regional subjects run by Tilka Manjhi University, Bhagalpur. The cancellation depicts tribal freedom fighter Tilka Manjhi .
