Emirates Post Issued Stamp on Abu Dhabi International Triathlon

\"uaeEmirates Post has issued a commemorative stamp for the Abu Dhabi International TriathlonThe stamp, on sale now at all main post offices, has been issued in single denomination of Dh3, along with a First Day Cover of Dh4.“Emirates Post is always pleased to support sporting events, because we believe in the principle of having a healthy mind in a healthy body,” said Fahad Al Hosani, acting president of Emirates Post Group.“We commend Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority for hosting this prestigious event which has contributed to strengthening UAE’s position on the global sporting map and we are happy to promote this event globally through this special stamp.”

“This year we have issued several important stamps, including special stamps on the 21st Gulf Football Cup, Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak as Mother of the Nation, by issuing the world’s biggest stamp which has entered the , Guinness World Records Yahsat multipurpose satellite, Fazza Championship and Arabian oryx, among others,” he said.

The Abu Dhabi International Triathlon, organised by Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority, takes place on Saturday March 15 and hopes to attract some of the world’s best triathlon competitors and champions from more than 50 countries.

It is divided into three courses: a long flagship course of 223km consisting of 3km continuous swimming, 200km of cycling and 20km of running; a short course consisting of 1.5km of swimming, 100km of cycling, 10km of running and a sprint course consisting of 750metres of swimming, 50km of cycling and 5km of running.
