\"monacoMonaco Post issued a stamp to commemorate the centenary of the first flight across the Mediterranean by Roland Garros. On 23rd September 1913, the French aviator Roland Garros successfully made the first non-stop flight across the Mediterranean. Aboard a 60 horse power monoplane, he flew from Frejus Saint-Raphael in the Var to Bizerte in Northern Tunisia in 7 hours and 53 minutes.
