Jayadeva has written Geetgovinda in 12 century A.D. under the first chapter is Dasavatara composed over the ten incarnations of Lord of Lord Vishnu / Krishna in the form of lyrical monologues.\"jaidev2\"

Saint Jayadeve’s Geetgovinda has influenced art music, dance and literature of India. Geetgovinda is sung, danced and enacted at the Puri Temple. Jayadeva devoted to RadhaKrishna, bhakti cult of Radha-Madhav his devotional songs including Dashawatar have inspire choreographers for its matching Sloka, Talas, and Rag, in a Bhakti melody.
