PD Account Holders of Delhi Philatelic Bureau: Be Ready for Incomplete Collection!

\"fdc\"brochureBy Anurag

Philatelists who have Philatelic Deposit Account at Delhi Philatelic Bureau should be ready for incomplete FDC collection for the year 2013.According to Bureau officials they will not send First Day Cover’s of Wild flowers and 100 Years of Indian Cinema stamp issues. Bureau staff said that FDC of any stamp which will be issued in only Miniature Sheet or Sheetlet format will not be a part of regular supply of philatelic material. Though it is violation of rules but due to lake of unity among philatelists and nexus of dealers common philatelist should have to pay more money for these FDCs. Bureau staff is ready to cancel these FDCs at Delhi Bureau and doing it since one week but not ready to send it with supply. So if you are a genuine philatelist and want these FDCs spend money and time to go to Delhi Bureau and get cancelled these FDCs.

Question: Why India Post has printed First Day Cover’s  and Brochure of these stamp issues?

Dear Friends, on Saturday I was in Delhi Bureau. Incidentally I could meet emminent philatelists in Bureau n this issue was discussed. Examples of past like fdc of Medicinal plants, Gyan Peeth Award were qouted n ultimately Bureau Incharge agreed to discuss the issue positivly with his seniors in a positive manner n sort out the issue. Lets hope for the best.

It’s a good news for all the PD account holders of Delhi Philatelic Bureau. All philatelists should collectively make more such efforts to sort out all such issues relating to many more philatelic bureaus. Why don”t we have a common platform for all the philatelists in the country. There can be an all India body and then state-wise and at District level bodies. Yes, it is possible and it can be worked out by the senior philatelists.

Same thing happened with the Philately day issue and I was under impression that rule does not permit it.
If there is nothing against in the rule then do we lay low and take the arbritary decision as handed down – Is there no Universal rule?
    Why to open PDAC then?

Let us hope Bureau incharge (he is a positive person as far as my limited interaction with him and I am not a bulk purchaser) will get some positive response for us.

    Hello, Good day to All,
I am heaving PD account at 8 Bureau i.e. Delhi, Banglore, Pune, Lucknow, Gwalior, Jabalpur, Indore, Bhilai. Other then Gwalor I an not satisfied the services provided by Bureau staff. Espicially the Bhillai Bureau in in the worst position. At all the places they don’t heave material at Bureau counter, and the person in-charge of treasure of Bureau post office refused to provide the material to customer. The specific requirement of philatelic material the Bureau staff refused to fulfill directly like sheetlets, M S, traffic light block. Is there any forum to hear the problems of PD Account. 6. Santanu Panigrahi. says:

These problems should be brought to the notice of the higher authority of India Post by filing R.T.I. application to C.P.M.G. of the concerned state.

  7. SHIV GARG says:

Dear Philatelists, I had a talk with bureau people at Sansad Marg HO, they have no plan to send FDCs of “100 years of Indian Cinema” to the PD Account holders. We have to arrange all these at our own, may be from the dealers. Even the supply of the miniature sheets too is not being made to PD account holders at the moment. It may take at least one more month to get these beautiful miniature sheets. Dear Panigrahi Ji suggested for further action but I suggest if any action is required to be taken against such concerns, it should not be a singular but collective. Philaatelists should unite under one banner and fight for their legitimate rights.
