Canada Issued Stamp on Novelist Robertson Davies

\"canadaCanada Post issued a stamp on 28 August 2013 honoring Robertson  Davies, a great Canadian novelist, playwright, essayist, scholar and wit who achieved literary fame around the world.The best and best-known of his 11 novels was 1970’s Fifth Business, the first book in what would later become The Deptford Trilogy. Deptford was a fictionalized version of Thamesville where Davies spent his early years.Along with being honoured with a postage stamp, Davies earned numerous awards throughout his career, including the Governor General’s Literary Award (for The Manticore) and the Stephen Leacock Award for Humour (for an earlier novel, Leaven of Malice).
