India Post Released Stamp on Raj Bahadur

Governor of Rajasthan Mrs Margret Alva today released a commemorative postage stamp \"rajbahaduron freedom fighter, and former union minister Raj Bahadur at Jaipur.Raj Bahadur also served as ambassador of India in Nepal.Mrs Alva said that Raj Bahadur  was a freedom fighter, member of India’s Constituent Assembly and a Union Minister under three Prime Ministers – Pandit Nehru, Lal Bahadur Shastri and Indira Gandhi.She remembered Raj Bahadurji’s contribution in varied projects like the Ghana Bird Sanctuary and  conservation of forts at Bharatpur and Deeg by Archaeological Survey of India.

Raj Bahadur  was three times elected to Lok Sabha from Bharatpur (Lok Sabha constituency). He also served as Minister of Telecommunications for year 1956 – 57.  He was elected to Rajasthan Legislative Assembly from Bharatpur in 1980. Raj Bahadur also served as India\’s ambassador to Nepal. He died on 22 September 1990 in New Delhi.\"brochure\"brochure
