The U.S. Postal Service is saluting the American flag with a new collection of four Forever stamps, currently priced at 46 cents each. The “Flag for All Seasons” Forever stamps depict images of Old Glory flying against backgrounds representing the seasons of winter, spring, summer and fall. The stamp art is the work of Laura Stutzman, who used personal photographs to create the series. The original artwork was created in opaque watercolors on illustration board.
What makes Forever stamps special is that you can buy them at the current first class postage rate, and they remain valid even if that rate rises in the future.Today’s U.S. postage stamps are miniature works of art designed to reflect the American experience and highlight heroes, history, milestones, achievements and natural wonders.
