A beautiful Special Cover was released at Gandhi Sanghralaya Patna on 30.01.2013 by Sh. \"patnaSidhdheshwar Prasad Ex-Governor Tripura at SARVDHARAM PRARTHANA Sabha. The unknown aspect of this beautiful Special Cover is that replica of Gandhi Ji,s Lathi has been inserted in such a way in the sketch of Gandhi Ji that it gives the live look. More over the connection between Gandhi Ji n the LATHI which became his statement symbol has been explained on the back of the cover. I do not think many know this historical fact that Gandhi JI was offered a gift of Lathi( Bamboo stick) during his visit of Bihar  after the devastating Earth Quake in April 1934. Gandhi Ji accepted the Lathi on the condition that it will not be supplied to the Britishers as they were using it against freedom fighters. Ghorghat(Munger) was the main supplier of Lathis at that time. Thus, Gandhiji inculcated the sense of Non-Cooperation among the villagers against the British Rule. Ghorghat kept its word and Gandhiji kept that Lathi TILL LAST AS A SYMBOL OF STRENGTH AND AGRICULTURAL ECONOMY.

Cancellation: The message of Gandhi Ji \’ on death\’ was written in a letter to his friend Shri Shankaran a day before his assassination

Price of Special Cover 150 Rs.
