Homage to Martyr\’s

30th January is a black day for the Indians, as our Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi was assassinated while he was proceeding for his usual evening prayers. The Day is now considered as Martyr\’s Day to pay respects to all of those martyrs who had laid down their lives for India.

Martyrs day is dedicated to all the brave people who sacrificed\"30 themselves on the altar of freedom. Every year on January 30th, a two-minute silence in memory of the Father of the Nation and other martyrs is observed throughout the country at 11 a.m.

Martyrs’ Day remind us of great people who attained martyrdom while defending the sovereignty of the country. On this day, the Prime Minister of India and the three chiefs of the armed forces salute the martyrs at India Gate.
