This series was introduced after introduction of new decimal coinage currency system ie 1 rupee = 100 naye paise.On these design Andaman Nicobar and Lakshadweep Islands were not shown. Here on some stamps values were written as nP and in some as N.P.Where as again on new watermark paper reprint was issued on 27th Oct 58 to 1960\"\"

    Thanks Dr.Jain for the Map Definitives FDC. Beautifully complete
    private FDC. Not to be found either in internet info-sites as well as
    on commercial sites. Quite rare.
    (How I remember, some 30 years ago, as a student in Lucknow, I
    so reluctantly paid Rs.1.20 for a 3/4 stamp map-series pvt. cover).
