Glory of Pre Independence Post Card\’s of India (5):Early Post Cards Used as Registered Mail

Three early Postcards are exhibited here which were used as Registered Mail. First is EAST INDIA QUEEN VICTORIA POST CARD which was used as Registered Mail in the year 1897 by affixing two Anna additional Victoria stamp for Registered post charge.\"\"

 Second is INDIA KING EDWARD POST CARD which was used as Registered Mail in the year 1906 by affixing additional stamp of King Edward. It was refused by the Addressee by pencil writing in Hindi “ Lene se inakar hai. Dastakhat Babulal bakalam Pyarelal” (Refused to take. Signature Babulal Written by Pyarelal). Postmaster has also written on this Post card by red ink “Refused” in English.\"\"

Third is again INDIA KING EDWARD POST CARD which was used as Registered Mail in the year 1909. It was also refused by the Addressee by writing  in Hindi “ Lene se inakar. Da. Laxmi Prasad” (Refused to take. Sig. Laxmi Prasad).
