Story of Special Cover’s on 25 Years of Speed Post (10):Painful Cancellation

\"\"By Anil Kr Pujara

The journey of collection of Special Covers was not that smooth as it appears to. It was quite arduous one. Here is one example out of many and varied ones. I contacted Kanpur Bureau and I was told that all blank covers are finished. In case if I am in need of cancellation of Kanpur Bureau I should send stamped special covers for cancellation along with self addressed stamped cover for return postage. I was too happy to receive the positive reply as from many Bureaus, I had different experiences like either cancellation is not available or it is not yet received or concerned staff is on leave etc. I immediately prepared an envelope, packed three stamped special covers of 25 years of Speed Post for cancellation along with self addressed stamped cover for return postage. After more than one month\’s wait, what I got back is scanned and put on display here for everyone\’s delight.
