Millions of girls and boys throughout the world are engaged in work that deprives them of adequate education, health, leisure and basic freedoms, violating their rights. The International Labor Organization (ILO) launched the first World Day against Child Labor in 2002 as a way to highlight the plight of these children.India post has issued four stamps over the theme in 2006.A Meghdoot Postcard was also issued on this theme in 2007

The section discusses the various issues faced by children in the world and specifically in India. It outlines the various policy, legislature, programmers and budgetary allocations for children in India and connects these efforts to state, national, regional and international bodies and commitments. The purpose of this section is to locate crucial information about CRCP in one space so as to make understanding and internalizing the concepts and commitments of this country and the world a simple process that is available to all.
