US:New Stamp on Poet Theodore Roethke

\"\"The United States Postal Service is commemorating Saginaw\’s 1954 Pulitzer Prize-winning poet Theodore Roethke  in a new stamp series named \”Twentieth-Century Poets\” .The stamp will be released on  April 28.A stamp sheet is scheduled to be released during a ceremony in Los Angeles Saturday and includes 9 other poets, Elizabeth Bishop, Joseph Brodsky, Gwendolyn Brooks, E. E. Cummings, Robert Hayden, Denise Levertov, Sylvia Plath, Wallace Stevens and William Carlos Williams.The 10-stamp sheet costs $4.50 and the stamps are \”forever\” stamps, meaning that regardless of postage increases, they will be valid for first-class mailing of letters under one ounce.
