France Issued Stamps on Portraits of Women

To celebrate the International Women\’s Day France Post issued a booklet of 12 \"\"self-adhesive stamps. They feature women\’s portraits in paintings of famous French artists: Young woman in evening dress by Berthe Morisot-Orsay Museum, Paris  Portrait of Miss Lydia Cassatt by Mary Cassatt-Petit Palais Museum, Paris Young Girl by Hippolyte Flandrin – Museum of Fine Arts, Nantes Portrait of Madelein Bernard by Paul Gauguin, Grenoble Museum, Grenoble  Portrait of a Lady making her Toilet by Titian, Louvre Museum, ParisYoung Orphan in the Cemetery by Eugene Delacroix, Louvre Museum, Paris Mandy by Edouard Barnard Lintott Roubaix, the Pool, Museum of Art and Industry Andre Diligent, Roubaix Portrait of a Young Woman by Edgar Degas, Orsay Museum, Paris   Madame Mole Raymond of the Italian Comedy by Elizabeth Vigee-Lebrun – Louvre Museum, Paris Woman in Turban by Marie Laurencin Palais des Beaux-Arts, Lille  Head of a Biskra Woman by Mary Caire – Quai Branly Museum Berthe Morisot with a bouquet of violets by Edouard Manet – Orsay Museum, Paris
