Trinidad and Tobago:Stamps on Birth Century of Dr. Eric Williams 1911-2011

\"\"Dr. Eric Eustace Williams was born to Thomas Henry and Eliza Boissière Williams on September 25, 1911, on the British Caribbean island of Trinidad. He studied there at Queen\’s Royal College and, as the recipient of the sole \”Island Scholarship\” in his field, furthered his education at Oxford University in England. In 1938, he received his Doctor of Philosophy Degree from Oxford. In 1939, Dr. Williams took up a teaching position at Howard University in Washington, D.C. during World War II. In 1948, Dr. Williams resigned from Howard University, returned to Trinidad and Tobago and assumed the chief position of the Commission’s Research Branch.Issue Dte-5 April 2011
