Bihar Stamp Expo Begins with Great Enthusiasm

Stamp Expo–2012 organized by Bihar Circle of India Post at Wheelers Senate Hall of Patna University was inaugurated on 10th Feb 2012 by His Excellency Governor of Bihar in the presence of Vice Chancellor of Patna University. Big no of frame were put up n star attraction of the show was Inverted Head specially brought to Patna from Kolkata By Sh sukhani a big number of philatelists, dealers thronged the stage where this rare piece was put up for display along an original letter bearing the signatures of Bapu, the father of nation. A special cover was released after inaugurating the exhibition. The beautiful cover depicted the various arts of paintings of Bihar which are not only delight to the eyes but are almost on the verge of extinction. These are KOHBAR,TIKULI,BHOJPURI,MANJUSHA,ARIPAN.The cost of the cover is Rs.15/=.\"\"

\"\"Thereafter a Stamp Booklet on Faces of Buddha was released. The booklet is priced Rs.75/=. It carries four stamps of Rs.5/= each. The painting, letter writing, music n Quiz competition were organized. A large no of children participated in the stamp expo which shall continue tomorrow also. As per plan, a special cover, Stamp Booklet n a set of Max Cards are likely to be released today.
