11.11.11- A Chance to Convert a Day in Philatelic Opportunity

By Anil Kr Pujara

It is a lifetime opportunity for all of us that this wonderful combination of dates numerologically has come in the lifetime of all of us. I feel we all should make the most use of this. There are various/numerous ways of making it a philatelic ally memorable event. Few which are coming to my mind  are given below n can be put to use by interested  fellow collectors:—-

1.Permanent Pictorial cancellation of the Bureau can be obtained on the Post Cards.

2.Date cancellation can be obtained on the Picture Post Cards of Scenic beauties/            Historical Buildings of the Area.

3.Letter by Speed Post can be sent on own address or on the addresses of the friends.

4.Old FDCs on  various themes like GREETINGS, BUTTERFLIES,WILD LIFE,ROSES,      BIRDS etc can be used for taking cancellation ncan be commercially used by using matching stamps/miniature sheets.

5.Thematic covers or covers with SIMPLE date can be prepared n date cancellation can be obtained n kept in the collection.

These are few examples only n illutrations n not an exhaustive list.

Thanks a lot Mr. Pujara for the idea. I am going to use 1/2 Greetings stamps issued in 2003 on a Blank Greetings FDC of 1990 that I’ve got
to obtain 11.11.11. Surely, crazy me …for everyone around in the
    Post Office, care not…
