Australia will Issue Stamps on Remembrance Day on 11.11.11

\"\"Remembrance Day is observed, but is not as revered as Anzac Day. Stamps were issued on the anniversary of the Gallipoli landings in 1935 and 1965, and again with Anzac Day and service themes in 1990, 2000, 2008 and 2010.Remembrance Day this year falls on the 11th day of the 11th month in the 11th year of the century. All the 11s in the date look like a row of soldiers, heads slightly bowed, in a guard of honour. The $1.20 stamp has two soldiers in silhouette wearing tin hats and twin poppies in the foreground, while the 60¢ stamp has a bugler in profile and a single poppy. Both stamps carry an excerpt of the Canadian poem, On Flanders Fields.
