Sweden:Stamps on Seed Capsules

\"\"With its Seed Capsules stamps  of 2011 Sweden Post is meeting the demand for more neutral stamp motifs that can be used for all types of letters, from greetings, invitations and thank you cards to business letters and other types of commercial mailings.

Sweden Post and the University College of Arts, Crafts and Design have worked together closely for many years to breathe fresh life into stamp design. As part of their education, third-year students at the Department of Graphic Design & Illustration have had the opportunity to test stamp design, and some of their class projects have become real stamps.First out was Pontus Björlin\’s punctuation in 2008, and now Gustaf Öhrnell has contributed with the Seed Capsules stamps. He was struck by the idea for the motif after watching maple seeds twirling around in the air.
