Ganesha Chaturthi, the great Ganesha festival, also known as ‘Vinayak Chaturthi’ or ‘Vinayaka Chavithi’ is celebrated by Hindus all around the world as the birthday of Lord Ganesha It was first started by Sri Lokmanya Tilak the great leader for unity among different groups.It is observed during chaturthi of Hindu month of Bhadra (mid-August to mid-September) and the grandest and most elaborate of them, especially in the western India state of Maharashtra, lasts for 10 days, ending on the day of ‘Ananta Chaturdashi’.These whole period goes with celebrations of \”Ganpati Bapa Moria\”

    Clebration of Ganseh Puja,Ganesh Chaturturthi tagged with Jung e Azadi, in the early days of freedom movement when people could not get together for meetings etc, it was devised by great Bal Gngadhar Tilak ,making movement meetings In the name Gnesh Puja for fear of Britsh Raj ,in early 19th century .A historical fact.
