Burried Treasure on Jersey Stamps

On 30th August, 2011, an island nation of Jersey will be issuing five  stamps, depicting  various coins which form part of the bord of 2500 Celtic coins and pieces of jewellery which were unearthed by a farmer on his land at Le Catillon in Grouville, Jersey in 1957.The coins are also on display at Jersey’s La Hougue Bie Museum.37 pence stamp shows Billon Starter of the XN Series; Durotriges Base Gold Quarter Stater is shown on 49 pence stamp. Baiocasses Gold Stater, Gold Chute Type Stater, Southern British Silver Unit and Billon Stater Coriosolites Tribe coins have been depicted on 59, 64, 79 and 86 cents stamps respectively.
