Canada Released Third Royal Wedding stamp

Canada Post issued a third Royal Wedding stamp just days before the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge began their first visit to this country. The stamp, issued June 28, shows a candid photo of the newlyweds waving from an open landau to the crowds of well-wishers who lined the streets shortly after their wedding at Westminster Abby on April 29.Canada Post says we are one of the first countries in the world to issue a stamp featuring the Royal Couple on their wedding day. However, the stamp is also being issued to commemorate William and Kate’s first Royal Visit to Canada following their wedding. As such, it shouldn’t really come as a surprise. More than five million of Canada Post’s first two stamps, issued on their wedding day, had already been sold by late June.It comes in booklets of 10 self-stick stamps and souvenir sheets of two gummed and perforated stamps. There are two versions of the souvenir sheet. One features the stamps with an exterior view of Westminster Abbey, where the marriage took place, while the other shows the Parliament Buildings in Ottawa.
