First International Award Winning Stamp of India

On 29th May 1953, Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay became the first to reach the Mount Everest summit.On 2nd Oct. 1953 this 2 a and 14 aana denomination stamps were issued in the memory of Conquest of Everest in the sheet of 45 and it was the first Indian stamp to get an International Award.\"\"\"\"

    Which international award was given to these two stamps? Was it about designing?

    I too like Mr. Neeraj am interested in knowing which
    award our Everest Stamps won.
    Also, thanks for the sharing the Everest sheets. It is quite some
    JOB keeping such big sheets in good shape. I can scarcely handle
    blocks.
    Has any Indian stamp won the Asiago?
    I personally like our very own Indian stamps like nothing else,
    not even the U.S. or Britiash stamps.
