Chowdike is a song tradition that has Yallamma worship as its primary ingredient. It is named after  Chowdike, the unique musical instrument as accompaniment .Chowdike is a wooden or copper drum covered by leather . A two to two and a half feet long thread made of sheep intestines is strung from a hole in the middle of the drum to a six inches long wooden chinige.A Special Cover was released on Chowdike in 2008 by Karnataka circle in 2008.
