\"\"The school at Rajkot where \”Father of the Nation\” Mahatma Gandhi, studied is known as Mohandas Gandhi school and an important historical place of the town. Here, Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi (Mahatma Gandhi), studied from Standard I to VII from 1880 to 1887. Formerly this school was known as Alfred High School and its foundation was laid on 17-10-1853. The name of the school was changed from Alfred High School to Mohandas Gandhi Vidyalay on 2-10-1971.The cancellation has been introduced at Rajkot HO on 2-10-1991.
