Bangladesh:5 Commemorative Stamps on 40th Anniversary of Independence

\"\"Bangladesh Postal Department has issued a sheet-let comprising five commemorative postage stamps marking the 40th anniversary of the country\’s independence on 26th March 2011. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina released the stamps and a first day cover at her Ganobhaban official residence here this morning at a simple ceremony.
Of the total, one stamp of Taka 20 denomination inscribed with the portrait of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and another four stamps of Taka 10 denomination each with four memorial sculptures of the country\’s War of Liberation.
These commemorative stamps would be available at General Post Office (GPO) and all A grade post offices across the country.
