The Bahamas released stamp set on Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip

To commemorate a Lifetime of Service by Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and His Royal Highness\"\" Prince Philip, a special set of stamps and souvenir sheets is being issued by the Bahamas Post Office.The year 2011 celebrates not only the 85th Birthday of Queen Elizabeth II but also the 90th Birthday of Prince Philip. The couple married on 20th November 1947 at Westminster Abbey and have four children, eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The stamps which are diamond shaped will be issued as a set of six with denominations 15c, 50c, 65c, 70c, $1 and $2 each printed in sheetlets of eight with decorative borders.

The same stamps will appear in a diamond shaped miniature sheet with two additional labels with face value of $5.00.

There will also be a single souvenir sheet containing a large diamond shaped stamp with denomination of $2.50.(source-stampnews.com)
