BICENTENARY OF THE BIRTH OF NAPOLEON II

\"\"Monaco has released a stamp on Bicentenary of the birth of Napoleon II today.Born in Paris in 1811, François Charles Joseph Bonaparte was the son of Napoleon I and his second wife Marie-Louise of Austria. Prince Imperial, also known as King of Rome at birth, he became Napoleon II, Emperor of the French, following his father’s double abdication in his favour in 1814 and 1815. He died of tuberculosis in 1832. Napoleon II was also known as “the Eaglet” (L’Aiglon).
