Cancellation on Postcard

Cancellation has great value in Philately.

There are mainly two types of cancellations based on Place and Date . Mainly philatelists preserved stamps and blank First Day Covers to use them for pictorial cancellation on specific date or place.

It increased philatelic  value of the item. Many philatelists preferred to use stamps with permanent pictorial cancellations of certain Post offices.

We can convert a normal picture post card into a \”Max Card\” by using special cancellation. The Cancellation on blank postcard is also becoming popular in Indian philately.

Many a times it is observed that the theme of a Meghdoot postcard stands matching with some pictorial cancellation. In the same way philatelists could also use special cancellation on ordinary postcards as well.
