Liechtenstein-The City Of Stamp Lovers

By Dr.Pradeep Jain

Liechtenstein is a small  alpine state in Western Europe, bordered by Switzerland to the west and south and by Austria to the east. Its area is just over 160 km², and it has an estimated population of 35,000. Its capital is Vaduz. Liechtenstein has the highest gross domestic product per person in the world. The state does not maintain any military.

The  affection for stamps is too much in this country. As soon as we came out of our bus there was a booth by tourism department for special cancellation which  can be taken on any cover or on passport as well.

\"\"The philatelic museum is very good.Beautiful pictures of stamps are  painted on the streets of Vaduz. There are so many shops of philatelic items in this city.
